Works&Projects

This section gathers works I’ve developed across different contexts: corporate, educational, artistic, and research-based. Each carries its own process and ways of unfolding.

2026

In 2026, my work takes shape as an independent practice. I became an IDG Ambassador as part of the Khamsin Cohort, and through the Leadership Portal I design learning architectures, keynotes and learning journeys for organizations, schools and leaders. Using creative, art-based and gamified techniques, I bring inner development into the way people learn and lead. In partnership with NBB, I deliver keynotes for organizations and co-develop a course on creative leadership. I also deepen my research on leadership and evolutionary entrepreneurship at CIADM.

NBB Partnership. Nonviolent Communication and Creative Leadership

In partnership with Natálie Berka Borges | NBB Gestão Estratégica Empresarial

In 2026, together with Natálie Berka Borges, I delivered the keynote “Impactful Conversations in Times of Conflict: Using Nonviolent Communication to Resolve Conflicts and Strengthen Relationships” for the development program of a multinational company, with around 200 employees online throughout the entire session. Through gamified experiences, embodied self-reflection and collaborative case studies, the session turned the four components of Nonviolent Communication into practical tools for courageous conversations. It received a Net Promoter Score of 100, the maximum possible on the scale that measures how likely participants are to recommend an experience, and the highest of the program's series. We are now co-developing a course on creative leadership that brings embodied cognition, psychological safety, neuroscience and artistic practices such as Viewpoints and Kinesensics into the way leaders build creative and innovative environments.

2025

In 2025, I continued to contribute to international artistic and educational collaborations through leading roles in curriculum design, impact research, R&D and play-based creative methodologies. This phase consolidates my presence in global networks while deepening my professional authority in transformative learning practices.

Expanding Creative Learning Architectures and leading the Leadership Portal

In 2025, I concluded my cycle as Director of Education and R&D at Platô, where I helped shape immersive educational programs recognized for their social impact. This transition marked a new chapter in my professional journey, expanding the scope of my creative learning architectures into new collaborations. With a focus on international partnerships, cross-sectoral dialogue, and professional environments inspired by the purpose and learnings of the IDG community, I continue to develop educational strategies that connect embodiment and systemic transformation in organizations, institutions, and leadership development initiatives.

This period also marked the launch of the Leadership Portal, co-founded with Michele Witt, to nurture leadership as a movement of inner and outer coherence through learning experiences rooted in inner development. It reflects my ongoing commitment to designing spaces where this alignment becomes practice and transformation becomes a shared responsibility.

2024

In 2024, I expanded my international presence through artistic research, conference presentations, curriculum development and teacher training across Brazil, Scotland, and Finland. This year marked a deepening of the Immersive Learning Adventures approach I co-created and its recognition within global education and arts networks.

IDG Summit — Artistic Workshop - Relating through Kinesthetic Response

Inner Development Goals Summit

Márcia Donadel contributed artistically to the IDG Summit as an ITAC Member with a hands-on workshop that invited participants to engage with the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) Relating Dimension through embodied and creative practices. The session explored how presence, and collective movement can activate the Relating Dimension in unexpected ways..

The workshop provided an experiential space where participants could reflect on and embody possibilities of Relating — using tools drawn from somatic education, improvisation, and composition through Viewpoints.

Márcia guided participants through a series of individual and group explorations designed to connect artistic practice as a form of relational intelligence.

The contribution stood out for offering a poetic, practical, and participatory experience that complemented the summit’s content.

2023

In 2023, I consolidated my work in curriculum development, alignment and social impact assessment in Brazil and internationally. Highlights include the School of the (Im)possible winning the Ashoka Green Changemakers Award and the expansion of artistic-educational programs throughout the world.

Podcast Episode 40 – All Power to the Developing (East Side Institute)

Francine Kliemann and Márcia Donadel were invited to share their research in Episode 40 of the podcast “ALL POWER TO THE DEVELOPING,” hosted by the East Side Institute. In this conversation, they discussed the principles, practices, and social impact of their work in Immersive Learning Adventures.

2022

In 2022, the highlight of my work was taking part in the international expansion of the immersive learning programs I helped create through collaborative implementations in Brazil and Scotland. This year marked the refinement of the artistic-pedagogical approach and its integration with formal education systems across cultural contexts.

Readers’Factory – Creation of the Project & Core Curriculum Design

Immersive Learning for Early Literacy | Game-based Approach

Readers’ Factory is an immersive educational experience developed for early elementary students, combining the Immersive Learning Adventures methodology with a play-based, narrative-rich approach to support literacy and imagination through imagination and storytelling. In this project, Márcia Donadel led the development of the learning approach and contributed to the core curriculum concept, building a pedagogical arc centered on play-based and game-based activities.

2021

In 2021, I co-created the first edition of School of the (Im)Possible, launching the immersive learning methodology that would inform my future work. The project received international support through the ITAC Climate Collective, initiating my engagement with global networks. That same year, I contributed a chapter to the book Global Perspectives on Drama and Citizenship Education, which was awarded the CiCea Best Book Prize, recognizing the collective work of international authors exploring inclusion, voice, and democratic education.

School of the (Im)Possible -
Co-creation of the Program

Pedagogical Design & Research Architecture

Márcia Donadel played a central role in the co-creation and pedagogical development of School of the (Im)Possible, an immersive educational program, co-authored by Francine Kliemann, designed to engage primary school children in environmental education through art, immersive storytelling, and digital technologies. The program was developed with the ITAC Climate Collective, a global initiative exploring climate action through teaching artistry.

Márcia was a key contributor to the pedagogical design of the program, translating its artistic and narrative structure into a curriculum aligned with educational goals in environmental literacy, imagination, and collective agency.

She also co-authored the research architecture supporting the Immersive Learning Adventures methodology as a research-based framework. This included theorizing how embodied artistic practices foster collaborative learning, and mapping indicators of transformative impact in children and educational communities.

As part of her contribution to the School of the (Im)Possible, Marcia developed an innovative impact assessment format inspired by Reggio Emilia’s pedagogical documentation practices. In this approach, learning is not measured by tests or isolated metrics, but through a living portfolio of experiences, expressions, and discoveries.

2020

In 2020, I reconnected research, art, and education through reflective practice and collaborative experimentation. This transitional year laid the foundation for future international collaborations and impact-driven projects.

Cidade Criativa Program, UFRGS

First Partnership between Francine Kliemann and Marcia Donadel – Porto Alegre, Brazil | Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul

In 2020, Márcia Donadel and Francine Kliemann began their collaboration through the Cidade Criativa (Creative City) program and workshop at UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul). This marked the beginning of a long-term partnership dedicated to developing methodologies that bridge art, social engagement, and learning.

The Cidade Criativa program focused on fostering creative and participatory practices in public spaces, with special emphasis on community engagement, cultural citizenship, and collaborative creation.
Márcia brought her expertise in curriculum design and arts-based research in learning environments, while Francine contributed with her background in artistic direction, place-making and performance creation. Together, from this first collaboration, they planted the seeds for an interdisciplinary approach that continues to expand across schools, communities, and international settings.

2019

In 2019, I completed my Ph.D. in Performing Arts, synthesizing years of research on somatic approaches, creative methodologies, artistic creation, and inquiry. The program included a doctoral residency at Coventry University (UK), which enriched the international dimension of my work. This academic milestone solidified the foundations of my embodied methodology and deepened the integration between artistic research, education, and pedagogical innovation.

Ph.D. Degree – PerFormAction: Somatic Perspectives and Creative Processes for the Creation of an Educational Methodology

Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) | Brazil

Márcia Donadel earned her Ph.D. in Performing Arts from UFRGS with a research-practice dissertation which  proposes an experimental methodology for uniting embodied practices and improvisational creation in a single pedagogical flow.

PerFormAction integrates the Lessac Kinesensics, Viewpoints principles, and embodied translation of Emily Dickinson’s poetry to build a process that is both performative and formative. The methodology was tested and elaborated through the creation of the artistic piece Procurando Emily, blending stage improvisation, an educational methodology with poetic embodiment.

Márcia’s research is grounded in somatic performance studies, drawing from concepts such as embodied mind, kinesthetic empathy, inhabited action, and creation in flow. Through this lens, she investigates how the body-voice relationship becomes poetic material, shaping both the artistic presence, the educational path and the creative process.
